Driver Charged In Fatal Crash That Killed Motorcyclist: Hamden Police
The driver faces a manslaughter charge in connection with a crash that killed a motorcyclist in Hamden, according to police.
HAMDEN, CT — A driver was arrested Monday in connection with a crash that killed a motorcyclist last summer in Hamden, according to police.
Police responded to the area of Dixwell Avenue and Foch Street around 7 p.m. on June 25 on the report of a crash involving a motorcycle.
The operator of the motorcycle, 38-year-old Jamar Crenshaw of New Haven, later died at Yale-New Haven Hospital.

Sgt. Brett Ferrara conducted an extensive investigation that led to an arrest warrant for Lemond Scott, 27, of New Haven, according to Sgt. Angela Vey.
Scott was the driver of the other vehicle involved with the crash, Vey said.

Scott was arrested March 20 on charges of second-degree manslaughter, speeding, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and reckless driving. He was held in lieu of a $75,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court later this month, according to Vey.
