Firefighters extricated a driver after a crash and also rescued a hiker who had fallen 15 feet at Sleeping Giant over the weekend in Hamden.
HAMDEN, CT — A driver was hospitalized after a crash and firefighters rescued a hiker who had fallen 15 feet at Sleeping Giant over the weekend in Hamden.
The hiker was also taken to the hospital after the incident, according to fire officials.
“Squad 1 has had a busy shift with many responses including a technical rescue at Sleeping Giant that required a rope system to remove a patient who had fallen 15 feet and a MVA on Route 15 requiring the removal of the driver,” officials wrote in a post on Twitter on Saturday. “Both patients were transported via AMR to the hospital.”
