Former NYC St. Patrick's Day Parade Chairman Sues Quinnipiac President
The lawsuit claims John Lahey manipulated the parade board to continue a television contract.

Former New York City St. Patrick’s Day Parade chairman John T. Dunleavy accuses Quinnipiac President John Lahey of manipulating the parade board to continue a $175,000 television contract with NBC in a lawsuit filed this week at New York State Supreme Court, according to the New Haven Register.
Dunleavy claims that Lahey illegally unseated him as parade chairman and was fiscally negligent concerning a dispute over which television station will broadcast the 2016 parade, according to the Register.
The Register reports Dunleavy also claims that Lahey, the current chairman and director of the parade, used Quinnipiac resources to do it.

In the lawsuit, Dunleavy says he secured a promise from WPIX Channel 11 to broadcast the parade for free but Lahey, who was the vice chairman and director at the time, worked with fellow committee member Francis Comerford, who also is an NBC executive, in a plot to keep the parade with NBC, according to the Register.
