Girl Power rules for American Dance Experience Dancers

A powerhouse group of 9-11 year old tap dancers

The powerhouse 9-11 year old group from American Dance Experience has competed against many other dance studios this competition season only to prove - Girl Power Rules!

This team competed to a tap dance based on icon Rosie the Riveter, a media icon associated with female defense workers during World War II. Since the 1940s Rosie the Riveter has stood as a symbol for women in the workforce and for women’s independence. The team was adorned from head to toe in a costume that replicated this strong woman.

This team came home with several 1st place and special awards throughout the season and even placed 5th nationally in the Star Dance Alliance Power Rankings.

“Competitions are a great tool to help students reach their highest potential. These students put in hours of practice, and work hard to achieve a polished performance with top notch technique when they have a competition to look forward to. It also encourages teamwork, the group comes together to work towards a shared goal and help one another succeed,” said Alicia DeCesare-Corcoran, owner of American Dance Experience.

“My kids were phenomenal this regional competition season,” said DeCesare-Corcoran. A big thank you to all the parents who always show their support for these amazing kids.”
