Hamden Car Thieves Caught in North Haven After Running Out of Gas: Police
Police said two Hamden juveniles were arrested after taking a car for a joyride and running out of gas in North Haven.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — Two Hamden juveniles were charged with stealing a car they took for a joyride after it ran out of gas in North Haven.
A North Haven police officer located a suspicious vehicle on Church Street at about 7 a.m. on Tuesday, June 7.
North Haven Police said the vehicle appeared to have recent damage on the passenger side. Officers learned the vehicle was stolen from a Hamden residence the previous day.

Officers searched the area and located two juveniles, who are from Hamden.
Police said it was later learned that the two juveniles took the vehicle from a Hamden driveway and drove it all night long prior to running out of gas in North Haven.

Both were charged with larceny and later released to their parents.
