Hamden High Names New Hockey Coach

Longtime coach Bill Verneris announced he was stepping down last month.

The Hamden hockey team didn’t need to look far for coach Bill Verneris’ replacement, naming longtime assistant Todd Hall to the top spot, Dan Nowak of GameTimeCT.com/New Haven Register reports.

Hall, a former standout at Hamden High, has been an assistant coach for the Green Dragons for the past 14 years.

Verneris, who coached the team for 14 years, announced he was stepping down following the team’s season-ending loss in the CIAC Division I quarterfinals.
