Hamden Homes Burglarized Overnight, Suspects Entered Through Unlocked Windows: Police

Police say the burglaries occurred while the residents were sleeping and several items were stolen, including a motor vehicle.

Hamden, CT —Hamden Police are investigating two overnight home burglaries that occurred while the residents were sleeping on Wednesday.

The first incident occurred at a Westcott Road residence early Wednesday morning.

Capt. Ronald Smith said investigation revealed that an individual(s) entered the home between 12 a.m. and 6 a.m., through an unlocked rear window.

Once inside, several items were stolen, including electronic equipment and keys to a motor vehicle.

The second incident occurred at a Lillibridge Court residence.

The suspect(s) entered the home between 12 a.m. and 4 a.m., also through an unlocked rear window, according to Smith.

Smith said numerous items were stolen, including electronic equipment, credit cards and the homeowner’s motor vehicle.

The victims in both incidents were asleep when their homes were burglarized.
