Original story

A Hamden man died in a single-vehicle rollover accident on I-90 East on the Massachusetts Turnpike Sunday morning.

Brian White, 43, of Hamden, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Massachusetts State Police.

State police troopers responded to the accident near the 39 mile-marker in the town of Westfield at about 8 a.m.

Upon arrival troopers discovered that a 2004 Ford Van had been travelling eastbound when the driver (White) lost control and the van rolled over into the median.

The passenger in the van was seriously injured and taken to an area hospital. Police are not identifying the passenger at this time.

White was pronounced dead at the scene and police are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.
