Hamden Man Injured in New Haven Shooting

A 23-year-old man was injured.

NEW HAVEN, CT—Police are investigating a shooting that injured a 23-year-old Hamden native.

A patrol officer heard gunfire on Whalley Avenue near lower Blake Street shortly before 10 p.m. Nov. 19, said Officer David Hartman, police spokesman.

The officer located the victim on a sidewalk. He was transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The shooter fled in a 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix.

Anyone who witnessed the shooting or who may have information valuable to investigators is urged to call detectives at 203-946-6304.
