Hamden Mayor Issues Update On Cleanup From Major Winter Storm
Hamden Mayor Adam Sendroff provides an update on the schedule for schools, town offices, the transfer station and more.
HAMDEN, CT — Hamden Mayor Adam Sendroff issued the following update Monday night regarding the cleanup from the major winter storm:
Hello Everyone- This is Mayor Adam Sendroff with a storm update.
Thank you for staying off the roads during the storm. We got through this storm without any major incidents and I appreciate everyone doing their part on behalf of public safety.

On Tuesday:
- Hamden Public Schools will have a two hour delay.

- Town offices will open at their normal time.
- The Transfer Station will be closed.
The parking ban will remain in effect until further notice.
Plowing operations remain ongoing. There is a massive amount of snow from this storm and clean-up will take time. Thank you for your patience. Residents and landscapers- your cooperation is particularly appreciated in keeping snow out of the street, as it creates a safety hazard.
Bitterly cold temperatures will remain, and the Governor has extended the Severe Cold Weather Protocol until February 5th. Please call 211 if you are in need of cold weather resources.
As a reminder, trash and recycling pick-up will be delayed a day this week.
The overnight winter warming center at the Keefe Community Center will remain open 24 hours until noon on Wednesday, then will revert to its normal 7:00pm to 7:00am schedule.
