Hamden Police Appreciate Community’s Show of Support

On a tragic day for law enforcement, community members helped pick up the spirits of local police officers.

Hamden, CT — In the wake of the Dallas shooting that left five officers dead and seven wounded, communities across Connecticut have shown support for the local police officers.

In Hamden, police were inundated with donations from numerous residents wishing to show their support, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.

“Residents have brought baked goods, pizza, coffee, plants and other items to police headquarters, as a way of showing their gratitude,” Smith said in a press release. “The Hamden Police Department appreciates the much-needed support.”
