Hamden Police Charge Man with Possession of Child Pornography
Police began the investigation last April and made the arrest in Branford with help from the U.S. Marshal Service Fugitive Task Force.

Hamden police say a New Haven man’s computer contained 123 still and movie image files allegedly containing child pornography.
Rodolfo Hernandez, 31, of 48 Pardee Street in New Haven was arrested July 7 on a charge of first-degree possession of child pornography.
Detective Scott Levenduski of the Hamden Police Department Major Crimes Division began an investigation involving child pornography in April of 2014, Capt. Ronald Smith said in a press release.

Smith said Lieutenant Robert D’Aniello of the Hamden Police Department Computer Crimes Unit was previously conducting an investigation into the sharing of “Child Pornography” files.
Lieutenant D’Aniello discovered that in February of 2014 a computer based at 2964 State Street, 2nd floor, in Hamden was sharing suspected child pornography. Two search warrants were obtained and executed.

Officers seized numerous computers from a second floor room, where Hernandez resided.
Further investigation revealed that Hernandez’s computer contained 123 still and movie image files suspected of containing child pornography, according to Smith.
Detective Levenduski subsequently submitted an arrest warrant application for Hernandez to Meriden Superior Court.
On July 7, Hamden Police Detective Raymond Quinn and other members of the United States Marshal Service Fugitive Task Force arrested Hernandez in Branford.
Hernandez is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on July 21.
