Hamden Seeks Resident Input for Plan of Conservation and Development

Online Surveys open until Friday, Jan. 16.

The Town of Hamden is asking for your input on a series of surveys designed to bring significant public input for use with the Town’s Plan of Conservation and Development.

Each survey will have a different theme, focusing on the future of the town and what residents would like to see more of. The surveys will have 5-7 open ended questions and will engage discussion about different topics relating to improving Hamden on both small and large scales.

Many of these ideas will be considered in the development of and/or included in the Town’s Plan of Conservation and Development.

The current survey will be open until Friday, Jan. 16. Links to the survey can be found on the Town’s website or on the Town’s Facebook page.

This format is being used to create an open public discussion and invite as many respondents as possible to complete the surveys. Unlike with in-person public forums, a wide variety of residents can complete these surveys from the comfort of their own homes.

“The Planning + Zoning Commission is gathering ideas and concerns from the public about what goals Hamden should pursue over the next ten years to help us develop the Plan of Conservation and Development (POCD),” Town Planner Leslie Creane said.
