Hamden Woman Shoots Another Woman in New Haven: Police

HAMDEN, CT—A Hamden woman was arrested after she shot another woman, according to police.

A gunshot victim went to Yale-New Haven Hospital in the early morning hours Tuesday, said Officer David Hartman, police spokesman.

The woman said she was shot by Nayamka Jackson, 35, on Henry Street.

Jackson turned herself in at a later time. She is charged with first-degree assault, first-degree reckless endangerment and unlawful discharge of a firearm.

The victim was grazed in the abdomen by the bullet.
