Hamden Woman Attacks Other Woman with Butcher Knife After Finding Couple in Her Bedroom: Police
The victim told police that she was invited to the home by a man she had communicated with on social media.

HAMDEN, CT — A Hamden woman is accused of attacking another woman with a butcher knife after returning home to find her in her bedroom, according to police.
Hamden Police responded to an apartment on the 600 block of Fitch Street on Oct. 29 on the report of an assault, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.
The victim, a 24-year-old Hamden resident, told police that she was invited to the residence by a man she had communicated with on social media.

The resident, Lenee Myers, returned home and found the couple in her bedroom, according to Smith.
Smith said investigation revealed that Myers retrieved a “butcher’s knife” and “hit” the knife against the woman’s skin. Myers is also accused of punching the victim in the eye.

The female victim sustained an eye injury and cuts on her chest, arm and back, according to Smith.
Officer Kelley Groleau conducted the investigation, which led to the application of an arrest warrant for Myers.
Myers, 32, was arrested Nov. 30 at her residence on a warrant. She was charged with second-degree assault and disorderly conduct.
Myers, who was detained on a court-ordered $10,000 bond, is scheduled to appear at Meriden Superior Court on Dec. 13.
