Investigation Launched At Elementary School In Hamden: Police

HAMDEN, CT — Police are investigating an incident at Bear Path Elementary School in Hamden on Friday morning, according to police.

“The Hamden Police Department is aware of an incident that occurred at Bear Path Elementary School and is actively investigating the matter,” police wrote in a post on Facebook. “Law enforcement officers and emergency personnel responded promptly and are continuing to assess the situation.

“Additionally, Hamden Police is asking for the public to stay clear of the area and to not respond to the school.

“Public safety remains our top priority. The incident remains under investigation, and information is still being confirmed.

“Additional details will be released as they become available and when it is appropriate to do so. We appreciate the public’s patience and cooperation.”
