To the Editor,

When I go to the polls on Tuesday, August 9 in Hamden, I’m proud to be casting my vote for Josh Elliott to be our next state representative. Josh’s experience as a small business owner and negotiator means he’ll be ready to step into office on Day 1, building budgets and making connections in order to bring about the change his constituents need.

Being willing to negotiate for what your constituents want and to fight for their beliefs is an important part of being a state representative, and I have faith that as an attorney, Josh will be up to the challenge. Josh has stopped by my door a couple of times this summer, showing a dedication to each and every constituent that I find admirable.

As a union member with CSEA SEUI and a Hamden resident, I think Josh represents the best chance we have for change. Experience in politics hasn’t gotten us what Hamden needs so far – being willing to listen and negotiate on day one is the best experience we need.

Josh will bring a fresh, youthful voice and unique experience as a small business owner and an attorney to the role of state representative. But most importantly, I know that Josh wants to hear ideas from me and all Hamden constituents about how our state government can do better a better job of supporting small business growth, keeping taxes down, and making our state a better place to live and do business.

Sincerely,

Jennifer Caro
