Man, 27, Killed In Shooting In Hamden: Police
The victim was shot several more times after he fell to the ground, according to police.
HAMDEN, CT — A 27-year-old New Haven resident was killed in a shooting early Sunday morning in Hamden, according to police.
The man was shot in the area of Goodrich Street and Butler Street around 12:10 a.m., according to Capt. Ronald Smith.
Smith said arriving officers determined that the victim had been shot multiple times in the back. Hamden Fire Rescue personnel rendered medical assistance and the victim was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital, where he died nearly four hours later, according to Smith.

Smith said an investigation found that the victim was involved in a "heated" argument before being shot, and he was shot several more times after he fell to the ground. The man had been shot multiple times in the back, according to Smith.
