HAMDEN, CT — A New Haven man is accused of forcibly entering a home on Park Road in Hamden, fighting with the homeowner and later damaging another resident’s vehicle and trying to forcibly enter two other homes, according to police. At about 4:15 p.m. on April 25, Hamden police responded to a Park Road residence on the report of a “fight in progress,” according to Capt. Ronald Smith.

Police were told that a man had forcibly entered a resident’s home and was assaulting him, according to Smith. Moments later, Officer Robert O’Neill and Officer Kyle Sampognaro found the suspect, identified as Johnnie Tyson, in the area of State Street and Armstrong Street, Smith said. He was arrested and taken to police headquarters.

Police found that Tyson forcibly entered a Park Road residence and was confronted by the homeowner, who asked him to leave, Smith said. Tyson then assaulted the homeowner and eventually left the residence, according to Smith.
