HAMDEN, CT — A Hamden man is accused of threatening to shoot his girlfriend if she left him and later displayed a gun while driving alongside her while she was in her vehicle, according to police. At about 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 15, Hamden Police responded to the 100 block of Franklin Road on the report of a domestic dispute, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.
The victim told police that her live-in boyfriend, Harold Cole, “pushed her head against the wall,” according to Smith. Cole also allegedly threatened to shoot her if she left him.
The victim then left the residence and entered her motor vehicle. Smith said Cole entered his vehicle and “pulled alongside” of her. Cole then displayed a firearm and the victim promptly fled from the area in her vehicle, according to Smith.
