The event, which is free and open to the public, will take place from 3-6 p.m. at the M&T Bank Arena on the York Hill Campus, 305 Sherman Ave.
The career fair will feature nearly 100 booths from a wide variety of companies hiring in the manufacturing industry. “We’re thrilled to be hosting the CT MET Fair as a statewide event that is open to the public,” said John Bau, director of career development for the School of Computing and Engineering. “Connecting these technical employers with work-ready talent from QU, our partner schools and from the community is vital for our Connecticut’s economic development.”
Lynn Byers, a professor and director of the mechanical engineering program, said she hopes the public will take advantage of the free fair. Quinnipiac students will attend, while buses will bring students from Fairfield University, Housatonic Community College, the University of New Haven and the University of Hartford.

The statewide career fair is sponsored by Connecticut’s MIF Manufacturing Engineering Internship Program, powered by the Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology with funding from the Department of Economic and Community Development’s Manufacturing Innovation Fund.
It will be a busy day at Quinnipiac. The career fair will follow ReadyCT’s Connecticut Manufacturing Roadshow, which will be held from 9 a.m.-noon at the M&T Bank Arena. About 1,500 high school students are expected to attend and learn about future workforce opportunities at manufacturing companies in attendance. The roadshow is supported by ReadyCT.
