Obituary: Vincent J. Pesce Sr., 90, of Hamden

Pesce, a World War II Army veteran, was the owner of Paramount Builders for more than 40 years and later worked for the CT Dept. of Housing.

Vincent J. Pesce, Sr., 90, of Hamden, died Nov. 9, 2016 at his home after a long illness, surrounded by his devoted family. He was the loving husband for over 50 years to the late Evelyn Cifarelli Pesce.

Vin was born in New Haven, Jan. 1, 1926, the son of the late Sebastian and Jennie Chiarmonte Pesce and had resided in Hamden all his life. He was the owner of Paramount Builders for more than 40 years and then became a plan reviewer for the State of Ct., Dept. of Housing, for 10 years, prior to retiring.

He was an Army Veteran of WWII and was most happy when he was surrounded by his loving family.

He is survived by his children, Mrs. Rick (Cynthia) Landino of Northford, Debbie Pesce of Springfield, VA, Vincent (Judy) Pesce of Hamden and Thomas (Kathleen) Pesce of Columbia, CT. a loving brother, Dr. Joseph (Lillian) Pesce of Fairfield and his adoring grandchildren, Crispin (Lisa), Shaun(Lindsey), Ricky (Amy), Anissa (Dave), Christopher (Joelle), Michael, Joey (Jolene) and Amanda and 10 great-grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by his siblings Ralph and Pauline Pesce.

Funeral with military honors will be held Monday at 9:15 from the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden and at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at 10 o'clock. Internment in All Saints Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 4 to 7 P.M.
