Officer Injured After Tree Falls On Police Cruiser In Hamden
Police advise motorists to beware of branches and trees that could still fall while the cleanup from last week's tornado continues.
HAMDEN, CT — Police are advising motorists to be cautious while driving in the northern areas of town that were hit hard by last week’s tornado. A Hamden Police officer was injured after a tree fell on a police cruiser while driving on New Road near Quinnipiac University on Thursday.
Police shared photos of the incident on social media and say the officer fortunately only suffered minor injuries from glass that shattered the windshield.
“Beware of branches and trees that could still fall while clean up and tree removal continues,” police wrote in a post on Facebook.
