Purse-Snatcher Shoved Woman In Broad Daylight Robbery: Hamden PD
A man was arrested after police said he pushed a 68-year-old woman to the ground and stole her purse Friday morning in Hamden.
HAMDEN, CT — A man is accused of pushing a 68-year-old woman to the ground and ripping her purse away from her Friday morning in Hamden, according to police.
The robbery happened around 10:20 a.m. while the woman was walking in the area of Putnam Avenue near Clifford Street, according to Lt. Anthony Diaz.
Diaz said the suspect ran from the area toward the Hamden Village apartment complex and entered an apartment.

Herbert Davis, 34, of Treadwell Street in Hamden, was arrested and charged with third-degree burglary and assault of an elderly person. He was being held in lieu of a $25,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on March 22.
