Quinnipiac Investigating ‘Troubling Reports’ Of Bias-Related Incidents
Officials announced that the university is "conducting full investigations" into reported bias-related incidents within its community.

HAMDEN, CT — Quinnipiac University is investigating “troubling reports of bias-related incidents” within its community, officials announced Friday.
Officials recently received reports of the incidents and said the university is “conducting full investigations into these incidents,” according to an email sent to the Quinnipiac community that was signed by the Student Government Association Executive Board and the Quinnipiac University Management Committee.
“Let us be clear: any words, acts of bigotry, or hate have no place at Quinnipiac and are antithetical to the ideals and values that we cherish,” the email states.

“We are unwavering in our intention to uphold and demonstrate these values as an institution. A culture of inclusive excellence cannot exist only in pockets or segments of a community. It must pervade everything. We need everyone – each person – to help build this reality. This requires the collective actions of each of us, joining across all members of our community, to envision and build the community that we desire.
“We all have a moral obligation to act and to stand up in support of one another.”
Officials also urged students to report bias incidents if they see them.
“We must continue to work together to reaffirm and manifest our inclusive values in our everyday words and actions,” the email states. “Let's each embody the humility, empathy, compassion and respect for others that make our community so special.”
