HAMDEN - Quinnipiac University has received a $40,000 Talent Tech Accelerator (TTA) grant from the New England Board of Higher Education.

This grant award allows QU to expand cybersecurity courses developed with money from a previous Technology Talent Fund grant.
Frederick Scholl, associate teaching professor of cybersecurity and director of the cybersecurity program, is the grant’s principal investigator.
“The goal of TTA is to enable upskilling and reskilling of workers in our state,” Scholl said. “The new grant will enable us to expand the reach of our courses to a broader audience across Connecticut. Our one-semester, online courses are aimed at educating a new generation of cyber defenders. They include cybersecurity in healthcare, cybersecurity in fintech and penetration testing, a skill needed by all practitioners. We plan to improve the course relevance to stay one step ahead of hackers.”
The Tech Talent Accelerator grant was received from the New England Board of Higher Education through funding made available from the State of Connecticut’s Technology Talent Fund.
