Robbery Attempt Of Chinese Food Delivery Man Thwarted: Hamden Police
With the help of a concerned citizen, the driver got away from a group that tried to open his car doors during the attempted robbery.

HAMDEN, CT — A concerned citizen helped a Chinese food delivery man avoid a street robbery by warning him of a robbery that occurred in the area the previous night, according to police.
A China Wok employee was making a food delivery to a North Street address at about 9:15 p.m. on Thursday, March 23, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.
Smith said that as the employee drove through the neighborhood, a concerned citizen, who was aware of the street robbery the previous night, approached him and advised him to “go.”

Smith said the employee subsequently fled in his vehicle toward Warren Street.
As he stopped at a stop sign, three of the males approached his vehicle and attempted to forcibly open the doors, but he was able to drive away, according to Smith.
The suspects are described as black males, who were wearing dark-colored clothing, and one of the males had dreadlocks.
