SCSU Student Robbed at Gunpoint While Trying to Buy Drugs: Hamden Police
Hamden Police are looking for the two suspects responsible for robbing the 18-year-old student.

Hamden Police are looking for two suspects who stole a large sum of money from a Southern Connecticut State University student during an armed street robbery on Saturday.
The SCSU Police Department contacted Hamden Police at about 12:30 a.m. on Sept. 5 regarding the armed robbery.
Investigation revealed that an 18 year-old SCSU student was attempting to purchase drugs in front of 190 Pine Rock Avenue, Capt. Ronald Smith said in a press release.

The victim was approached by two individuals, who were armed with handguns. The armed individuals subsequently stole a large sum of money from the victim and fled on foot onto Pine Rock Avenue, according to Smith.
Hamden Police conducted a search for the individuals but it was met with negative results.

The individuals responsible are described as black males, one 6-feet tall, 200 pounds, the other 5-9, small stature, wearing dark clothing.
Officer Andrew Lipford conducted the initial investigation.
