Special Olympics to Host Awards Dinner on March 29th

Event Will Honor Outstanding Athletes, Supporters

Special Olympics Connecticut will host its Annual Awards Dinner Presented by Tokio Marine HCC at the Aqua Turf Club in Plantsville on Tuesday, March 29th at 5 p.m. The event will celebrate athletes who exemplify the spirit of Special Olympics and individuals and groups who have made significant contributions to our organization. Keynote speakers will include Loretta Claiborne, Chief Inspiration Officer for Special Olympics International and Abby Snyder, a Special Olympics Connecticut Athlete and Global Messenger. Special Guests will include Renee DiNino from iHeart Radio, Ryan Hanrahan from NBC Connecticut and Kevin Negandhi from ESPN.

To address the ongoing risks of COVID-19, Special Olympics Connecticut's safety protocols require all guest be vaccinated or have a negative antigen test within 24 hours of the event. Masking and social distancing will be observed and attendance limited to 60% of capacity (600 guests).
