The Hamden Arts Commission is pleased to announce the return of St. Luke’s Steel Drum Band to the Hamden stage on Jan. 24, 2 p.m., as part of the Peter C. Hereld Sensational Sunday Performance Series.

The popular St. Luke’s Steel Band will perform a concert entitled “The Joyous Sounds of Steel Drums.”

The high-energy, award-winning group, with members of all ages, is hailed as one of the most unique and exciting performing ensembles in the state. Their repertoire includes calypso, reggae, classical, popular, and island folk music.

The concert will be held in the handicapped-accessible Thornton Wilder Hall, Miller Cultural Complex, 2901 Dixwell Avenue, Hamden. Admission is $7 general admission/ $5 for senior citizens, students and children 12 and under.

Tickets are sold at the door only.
