Teen, 18, Charged In Shooting In Hamden: Police
An 18-year-old has been arrested in connection with a shooting that sent another teen to the hospital on Wednesday, according to police.
HAMDEN, CT — An 18-year-old Hamden resident has been arrested in connection with a shooting that sent another teen to the hospital Wednesday, police said in an update on Thursday afternoon.
The victim, an 18-year-old Hamden resident, was shot around 3:30 p.m. on July 19 on Helen Street. The victim was taken to the hospital by a family member and was listed in stable condition on Wednesday, according to Acting Hamden Police Chief Timothy F. Wydra.
Wydra said the Major Crimes Unit investigated the shooting from Wednesday night into early Thursday morning and were able to make an arrest.

Omarion Talon Gordon, 18, was arrested on charges of first-degree assault and carrying a pistol without a permit. Gordon was held on bond and taken to Meriden Superior Court on Thursday morning, according to Wydra.
“I would like to commend all the Officers who worked diligently on this investigation, specifically Sergeant Jomo Crawford, Detective Jay Bunnell, Detective Shawn Nutcher, and Detective Andrew Lipford,” Wydra said in an email. “The investigation remains open and active.”
