Time Runs Out for Hamden's Blessing Offor on NBC's 'The Voice'

Offor was eliminated during Monday night's show.

Hamden High grad Blessing Offor’s time on NBC’s “The Voice” has come to an end after being eliminated in the knockout round on Monday night’s show.

Anita Antoinette, who is a former New Britain resident, advanced to the next round of live competition with a powerful rendition of “Rude” by Magic.

Offor, who graduated from Hamden High in 2007, performed John Mayer’s “Your Body is a Wonderland.”

Offor was originally a member of Pharrell Williams’ team, before being saved by Adam Levine after losing a challenge against 15-year-old Katriz Trinidad.

Offor took his elimination in stride, according to NBC Connecticut, saying “I have learned a lot from Adam and Pharrell. And I think I’ve grown a ton as a musician.”
