Two Drivers Hospitalized After Crash on Whitney Avenue in Hamden

Two drivers were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries following a two-car accident at the intersection of Whitney Avenue and Cannon Street this morning.

Police responded to the scene at about 8:30 a.m. and preliminary investigation revealed that one of the vehicles was turning onto Whitney Avenue to proceed in a northbound direction from Cannon Street when it was struck by another vehicle that was traveling southbound on Whitney Avenue, Sgt. Anthony Diaz said in a press release.

Diaz said both drivers were transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital with non-life threatening injuries and Officer Gregg Curran of the Traffic Division is continuing with the investigation.
