Wires are down in the area. The avenue is closed between Sherman and Mt. Carmel avenues.
HAMDEN, CT — Whitney Avenue in Hamden is closed between Sherman and Mt. Carmel Avenues due to a car striking a pole.
Hamden police say wired are down in the area and United Illuminating is en route to the scene.
There is no estimate on when it will open.
