Woman Stabs Other Woman Multiple Times, Strikes Her with Vehicle in Church Parking Lot: Hamden Police

The suspect followed the woman after leaving her ex-boyfriend's work and is accused of committing the assault in front of her young child.

Hamden, CT — A New Haven woman is accused of stabbing another woman multiple times and then striking the woman with her vehicle, with her young child inside, during a confrontation in a church parking lot, according to police.

Hamden Police responded to the parking lot of the Whitneyville Church of Christ, 1253 Whitney Avenue, on the report of an assault at about 12:30 p.m. on Friday, June 17, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.

Smith said investigation revealed that a 28-year-old New Haven resident was traveling in a motor vehicle, northbound on Whitney Avenue. She was being followed by Jenisse Pierre-Louis, after leaving the place of employment of Pierre-Louis’ ex-boyfriend.

Upon exiting her vehicle to confront Pierre-Louis, the victim was stabbed multiple times in the arm and shoulder, according to Smith.

Moments later, Pierre-Louis returned to her vehicle and struck the victim twice with the vehicle, knocking her to the ground, according to Smith.

Smith said Pierre-Louis’ young child was inside the vehicle at the time of the incident.

Pierre-Louis fled from the area prior to the arrival of Hamden Police.

The victim was transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital for medical treatment.

Shortly thereafter, officers located Pierre-Louis at her residence, 45 Dickerman Street, third floor, New Haven.

Pierre-Louis, 28, was charged with two counts of first-degree assault and risk of injury to a minor. Pierre-Louis, who was released after posting a $25,000 bond, is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on June 30.
