6 People Rescued From Hartford Apartment Building Fire: Report

The two-alarm fire was reported at about 6:30 p.m. Sunday.

HARTFORD, CT — Six people were rescued from an apartment building fire at 820 Wethersfield Avenue in Hartford Sunday, and four of them were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, reported Fox61.

One of the hospitalized victims, who fire officials said had underlying medical conditions, was listed in critical condition, reported WTNH-TV.

The building is the same one that authorities said was where an arson fire was set in 2019. Manchester resident Eladia Vazquez was arrested on arson charges in connection with that blaze, which resulted injuries and the temporary displacement of residents from the 42-unit building.
