BREAKING: Woman Tries To Stab Cop Outside State Capitol: Reports

HARTFORD, CT — A tense situation erupted outside the state capitol building in Hartford Wednesday morning as police took a woman into custody after she tried to stab a cop with a knife.

According to WFSB Channel 3, citing capitol police, an officer on patrol was stopped at the intersection of Armory Road and Michael J. Fallon Way.

That's when, WFSB reported, the woman approached the cruiser and tried to stab him through the driver's side window.

WTNH Channel 8 reported the situation happened at about 6 a.m.

The woman reportedly continued striking the window with the knife, and then the knife broke, according to WTNH.

She then fled the scene but was apprehended by officers, according to WFSB and WTNH.
