HARTFORD/WEST HARTFORD, CT — An early morning crash on Interstate 84 in Hartford has caused significant early morning delays for commuters Thursday, according to the state Department of Transportation.
According to the DOT, the accident is on I-84 West between exits 45 and 44, resulting in the highway's closure at that location.
As part of the situation, the I-84 West onramp at Exit 44 in nearby West Hartford was also closed.
The accident was first reported at 5:01 a.m., and it is 'unknown" when the scene will be cleared.
