Another Hartford Company Announces Mass Layoffs
The company will permanently eliminate positions at One American Row in Hartford on April 24, according to a state filing.
HARTFORD, CT — A Hartford-based financial services/insurance company has announced a large wave of layoffs at its location in the city.
Talcott Resolution Life, Inc. plans to permanently eliminate 101 jobs at its Hartford facility as part of a closure of certain operations and IT functions, according to a notice filed with state and city officials.
In a letter dated Wednesday, Feb. 18, and received by the state’s Rapid Response Unit, Talcott Chief Human Resources Officer Diane Krajewski wrote on behalf of the company that the affected operations at One American Row will close April 24.

Talcott's notice was sent to Susan Fracasso, rapid response coordinator for the Connecticut Department of Labor, and Hartford Mayor Arunan Arulampalam.
Krajewski said all affected employees have been notified that their separation dates are April 24 and that their separations “will be permanent.”
The company does not anticipate any bumping rights for affected workers.
The filing was made pursuant to the federal Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act, which requires advance notice of certain mass layoffs and plant closings.
The 101 positions span compliance, operational applications, service enablement, service operations, and service strategy and delivery functions.
The largest number of cuts is in service operations, including 25 senior service specialists, 19 service consultants, and seven service specialists.
Other affected roles include compliance consultants and directors, pricing analysts and consultants, tax accountants and analysts, business analysts, software engineers and architects, quality analysts, workforce planning staff, and multiple managerial positions across operations and service units.
