Boy, 6, Located After Mother Stabbed 30+ Times: Hartford PD

HARTFORD, CT — A 6-year-old boy was found in Worcester, Mass. after his mother was stabbed more than 30 times by the mother's boyfriend, according to police.

Police got a call about the incident around 2 a.m. Tuesday about a woman who was stabbed in vehicle, according to NBC Connecticut. She was able to get out of the vehicle, but her boyfriend took her son and fled, police said.

A nationwide alert was put out and police found the boy and the suspect's car in Worcester, but the boyfriend wasn't immediately located, according to Fox 61. The woman is in critical, but stable condition.

The investigation is ongoing.
