Boy, 6, Shoots Himself In Hartford: Reports
Wednesday's incident comes as Hartford copes with a summer of gun incidents.
HARTFORD, CT — Amid a summer where gun violence is claiming lives at a scary pace in Hartford, a 6-year-old boy Wednesday afternoon became another shooting victim, though his injuries are non-life-threatening.
WFSB Channel 3 reports the boy found the gun while playing outside on Martin Street and accidentally shot himself while he brought the firearm inside.
Citing police, WFSB said the boy shot himself through the hand.

WVIT Channel 30 said the gun was, actually, found in his yard and the child's father called 911 after it was discharged.
The boy was taken to the Connecticut Children's Medical Center in Hartford, WVIT reported.
