Busy Slate Of Hartford Events Saturday Have Police On Alert
Hartford police are warning pedestrians and motorists of expected delays due to a festival, soccer game and baseball game on Saturday.

HARTFORD, CT — The City of Hartford's police department is warning visitors and residents alike that a packed schedule of events in Hartford Saturday requires caution on the roads.
According to the Hartford Police Departmen, motorists and pedestrians must be wary, with many of the events taking place at the same time.

• Hartford Bonanza, the city's Fourth of July celebration that was postponed due to rain last weekend, is slated for Saturday starting at 3 p.m. at Bushnell Park.
The celebrations concludes after dark with a large fireworks show.

• The Hartford Yard Goats are taking on the New Hampshire Fisher Cats at 6:10 p.m. at Dunkin' Park, with a fireworks show planned after the game.
• Hartford's pro soccer team, Hartford Athletic, is battling Sand Diego Loyal at Dillon Stadium at 7 p.m.
Police said to expect traffic jams, delays and road closures.
"As a result of these events, heavier-than-usual vehicle and pedestrian traffic will occurr throughout the downtown area," police wrote. "Road closures and traffic delays due to the number of people attending these events will occur.
