Hartford's Fourth Of July Event Postponed, Will Happen July 8 Instead
The past weekend's unstable weather prompted organizers of 'Hartford Bonanza' to reschedule the event at Bushnell Park, including fireworks.
HARTFORD, CT — Anticipated stormy weather over the weekend prompted the organizers of the city's Fourth of July celebration to postpone the event, which includes fireworks, by a week.
The event — called "Hartford Bonanza" — was to take place at Hartford's Bushnell Park Saturday afternoon and conclude with a fireworks show in the heart of the city overhead.
But bad weather Saturday prompted organizers to postpone the July 2 show for Saturday, July 8, which was the listed rain date for the event.
