Connecticut River Valley Antiques & Historic Homes Show

Event Details

Haddam-Killingworth Middle, 451 CT-81, Killingworth, CT, 06419

The Connecticut River Valley Antiques and Historic Homes Show (CRVAS) – will be held on Oct. 11th and 12th at a new location this year, the Haddam-Killingworth Middle School, 451 Route 81, in Killingworth, CT. It is a fine antiques show & sale which will feature 31 of the finest antiques dealers from New England and the Middle Atlantic states offering a wide variety of antiques and art that will include furniture, Americana, folk art, ceramics, jewelry, Oriental rugs, prints, paintings, porcelains, art glass, decorative antiques, Mid-Century modern, decorative antiques and so much more. Sponsored by the Haddam Historical Society, and managed by Goosefare Antiques & Promotions, the CRVAS will maintain the same quality that was a hallmark of the Connecticut Spring Antiques Show, but it will be a show that is more accessible and affordable to a younger audience. There will be offerings for their old customers and collectors, but the show will also offer a wider range of period antiques for younger collectors and the owners of the many antique homes in New England.

Although the antiques show is the main focus of this event, the CRVAS will also offer programming aimed at owners of antique and historic homes, with exhibits and informative presentations on how to restore, preserve and curate older homes. The Historic Restoration Fair will be held on Sunday, October 12. Sunday will also feature a “roundtable” of historic homeowners who will share their experiences of loving and living in an antique house. The panel will be led by Higganum’s own Rebecca Lineberry whose restoration efforts and love for antique homes have been featured in the New York Times, ICRV radio and various internet media outlets.

The Connecticut River Valley Antiques & Historic Homes show will be held on Saturday, Oct. 11, from 10 to 5 and on Sunday, Oct. 12, from 11 to 4. Adult admission is $10.00, but you can get a $1.00 discount if you show a copy of this PATCH listing at the admissions table.  The ticket is good of both days. Here are the exhibitors:
