Get ready to see your name in lights! In this program all about Connecticut theaters and shows, you will get to explore historic objects, see performances by local artists, and create many theater-inspired crafts, like puppets, playbills, and more!
11:15am – 12:00pm: Layavinyasa Company
Experience the rich sounds of Indian music with Layavinyasa, featuring live performances, interactive singing, rhythm demonstrations with mridangam (South Indian drum), and hands-on drumming.
12:15 – 1:00pm: Ballard Institute and Museum of Puppetry
Explore and experience a variety of shadow puppetry styles including hand, paper and objects.
1:15 – 2:00pm: Playhouse Theatre Academy
Unlock your imagination, boost your focus, and discover the joy of self-expression through a series of lively 5-10 minute theatre games. It’s the perfect way to dip your toes into the world of theatre, meet new friends, and feel the energy that makes our classes so special. No experience necessary—just come as you are, and get ready to shine!
FREE and great for children of all ages, no pre-registration required. This program falls on FreeFirst Weekend, which includes free admission for all ages on Saturday and Sunday, May 2 and 3.
