Cedar Hill Cemetery is located at 453 Fairfield Avenue, Hartford. The walking tour begins at Inwood Pond between Sections 2 and 10.

Bank of America Financial Centers throughout Greater Hartford

This Thursday, September 17, Bank of America will host free, hour-long <a href="https://newsroom.bankofamerica.com/content/newsroom/press-releases/2026/06/bank-of-america-to-host-thousands-of--scaminars--to-help-protect.html" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Scaminars</a> (scam awareness and fraud prevention seminars) at participating Greater Hartford financial centers. The interactive seminars are designed to help consumers stay one step ahead of scammers and better protect themselves from fraud. 
Scaminars will cover: 
<ul><li>Common fraud tactics and warning signs consumers should know&nbsp; </li></ul>
<ul><li>Emerging scams targeting individuals, families and businesses&nbsp; </li></ul>
<ul><li>Steps financial institutions take to help safeguard clients&nbsp; </li></ul>
<ul><li>Tools, resources and best practices to help prevent fraud&nbsp; </li></ul>
<ul><li>What to do and where to turn if you believe you've been scammed </li></ul>

Get dressed up, grab a cocktail, hit the dance floor, and help Hartford Pride Center launch something truly groundbreaking.
On Friday, September 18, Hartford Pride Center invites the community to an unforgettable evening of cocktails, dinner, live artistic performances, dancing, community, and impact as we officially celebrate the launch of The Driscoll Fund, Connecticut’s privately funded, unrestricted HIV assistance fund.
This is more than a fundraiser. It is a celebration of life, love, resilience, and a community that shows up for one another.
At Hartford Pride Center, we believe no one living with HIV should ever have to choose between paying for medication, keeping the lights on, getting to a medical appointment, or putting food on the table. Yet those choices remain a reality for too many people across Greater Hartford and Connecticut.
The Driscoll Fund was created to change that.
Named in memory of Thomas Driscoll, a beloved teacher, veteran, partner, and community member whose life was cut short due to complications from AIDS, the Fund transforms Tom’s legacy into direct action.
The Driscoll Fund provides emergency financial assistance for prescription co-pays, transportation to healthcare appointments, unexpected hospital expenses, required laboratory work, and essential everyday needs that can make the difference between remaining connected to care and falling through the cracks.
The Fund will also support outreach, advocacy, education, and awareness efforts designed to reduce stigma and improve the quality of life for people living with HIV throughout Connecticut.
And on September 18, we’re launching it in style.
Guests can expect a vibrant evening filled with great food, an open bar, powerful storytelling, captivating performances, incredible people, and plenty of reasons to celebrate.

Connecticut's Old State House

Growing up on Long Island, Kenn was inspired by such melody-minded acts as Gordon Lightfoot, Simon and Garfunkel, Graham Nash, and Jackson Browne. The KMB enthralls audiences of all sizes, from intimate coffeehouses to the stages of venues as demanding as the famed Bitter End in New York City and the International Festival of Arts and Ideas on the New Haven Green. They feature violin virtuoso and multi instrumentalist Tom Hagymasi and melodic bassist/vocalist Pat Ryan, a graduate of the Berklee College of Music. The group has been together for many years, becoming fast favorites on the outdoor festival scene and often features noted drummer Tido Holtkamp.

Join us for our annual FREE Summer Concert Series! Stop by every Friday at lunchtime to hear a different band play each week on the westside patio of Connecticut’s Old State House. Bring your lunch and enjoy the music!

Cedar Hill residents tell tales of the dangers of daily living in the late-19th and early-20th centuries.
