Cedar Hill Cemetery Foundation Offers Colt Tour

Learn about Sam & Elizabeth Colt and their friends and associates on this walking tour of Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Join Cedar Hill Cemetery Foundation on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at 10:00 am for the walking tour Sam & Elizabeth’s World – The Colts at Cedar Hill.

Elizabeth Colt erected the first major monument at Cedar Hill Cemetery, one of her many efforts to commemorate her husband Sam’s legacy in Connecticut’s capitol city. Foundation Director Beverly Lucas and Coltsville Park Rangers will introduce you to Colt family members now residing at Cedar Hill as well as friends and associates of the influential couple.

Cedar Hill Cemetery is located at 453 Fairfield Avenue in Hartford. Admission to the program is $5.00 and free for Cedar Hill Cemetery Foundation members. Advanced reservations are not required. The walk begins at the Colt Monument in Section 2. Follow the signs once you enter the cemetery.
