Cedar Hill Cemetery Foundation Offers Free Tree Walk
Arborist John Kehoe leads a free tree walk through the historic grounds of Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Cedar Hill Cemetery Foundation invites you to join arborist John Kehoe on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 10:00 am for a guided walk featuring Cedar Hill Cemetery’s rare and notable trees.
Cedar Hill encompasses 270 acres of landscaped woodlands, waterways, and memorial grounds. The tour, through the ornamental foreground and historic memorial sections, will highlight trees such as the beautiful European Weeping Beech, the unusual (for the Northeast) Umbrella Magnolia, and the Huss Hemlock named for a resident of Cedar Hill. The tree tour is part of Connecticut Forest & Park Association’s Trails Day Weekend and admission is free.
Cedar Hill Cemetery is located at 453 Fairfield Avenue in Hartford. The walk begins near the bridge along the entrance drive.
