Participants will discover the history and beauty of Cedar Hill Cemetery on this walking tour showcasing some of our most celebrated residents and renowned monuments. Highlights include the resting places of General Griffin Stedman, Gilbert Heublein, John Pierpont Morgan, and Katharine Hepburn. Participants will enjoy watching the sun set during the walk. Cedar Hill Cemetery Foundation Director Beverly Lucas will lead the tour. Admission is $10.00; Cedar Hill Cemetery Foundation Members Free. The Celebrate! West Hartford&nbsp;FUNd&nbsp;RUNS&nbsp;are the most family-friendly fitness runs in the Greater Hartford region. Featuring a non-competitive Kids' K dash and a 5K race, these events have something for ages 3-83+. Held in conjunction with the Town's two-day outdoor festival, it's a great opportunity for individuals or whole families to enjoy a healthy activity together while supporting West Hartford families in need. A portion of proceeds is donated to the&nbsp;The Town That Cares&nbsp;and the&nbsp;Leisure Services Scholarship Fund&nbsp;which helps children from low-income families attend swimming lessons, camps during school vacations and other life-enhancing programs throughout the year.
- The morning starts with a non-competitive Kids' K around Blue Back Square for kids up to 10 years old with medals for all finishers. - The 5K course takes runners north through historic West Hartford Center and includes a long stretch on the scenic paved Trout Brook Trail before finishing in Blue Back Square. This course is USATF certified (#CT24001JHP). - After the race, join us for the Awards Ceremony and Refueling Reception at Town Hall (50 South Main Street) in the Festival Dining Tent. - Known for giving great rewards, prizes are awarded to the first, second, and third place 5K finishers in the male and female divisions in ten age categories: 10 and under; 11-14; 15-18; 19-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70-79; 80+. - The overall first place male and female finishers as well as to the first place male and female from West Hartford (one per winner) receive prizes valued at at least $100. Celebrate the start of summer at the 39th annual Celebrate! West Hartford, one of Connecticut’s most cherished community traditions. Set against the scenic backdrop of Town Hall Common, this two day festival brings together the very best of local culture, creativity, and community spirit, all made even more special this year with a commemorative America250 celebration woven into the festivities.
At the heart of the event is the renowned Arts &amp; Crafts Show, a nationally recognized, juried showcase featuring over 150 master artists and artisans from across Connecticut and the East Coast. With nearly 40,000 visitors each year, it’s a vibrant marketplace where longtime favorites meet fresh new talent! This is perfect for collectors, gift seekers, and casual browsers alike. Beyond the art, guests can enjoy a lively mix of carnival rides, family-friendly games, and a bustling food court offering everything from gourmet bites to classic festival favorites. Live musical performances from regional bands and local school jazz ensembles fill the air throughout the weekend, adding to the dynamic atmosphere.

- 12 to 1:30 p.m: RipChord - 102nd CT Army Reserve Band is a nine-member ensemble of America’s finest civil servants playing a mix of pop, rock, funk and R&amp;B.
- 2 to 3:30 p.m: The KC Sisters Band&nbsp;– Queens of rhythm and country, this CT-based sister-quartet blend their vocal and instrumental talents to create a rootsy Americana sound.

The Connecticut Symphony Orchestra will conclude its season on Sunday, June 7, 2026 at 3 p.m. at Community Beth Israel, 701 Farmington Ave., West Hartford, CT.
The program will again feature the CSO brass section and include Sonata pian’e forte by Gabrieli, Conga del Fuego Nuevo by Marquez, Themes from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by Williams, and Karelia Suite, Op.11 by Jean Sibelius.The program will conclude with The Firebird Suite (1919), a reorchestration of the work that “catapulted the young Stravinsky to international fame.”

Nothing says spring better than our popular Classic Design Luncheon and Lecture! We’re honored to feature Genevieve Wheeler-Brown, the author of&nbsp;<a href="https://beyondblueandwhite.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">“Beyond Blue and White.”</a>
Wheeler-Brown’s book explores the history of Delftware ceramics, focusing on the often-overlooked roles of women as makers, patrons, and collectors, from 17th-century factory owners like&nbsp;Barbara Rotteveel&nbsp;to Gilded Age collectors like&nbsp;Mrs. J. Pierpont Morgan. A must for devotees of decorative arts and the history of material culture. 
Location: The award-winning Jay Estate Gardens designed by Nelson Byrd Woltz. Co-Chairs, Tracy Edwards, Liz Garrett, Emmy Lambert, Lindsay Bello Martin and Suzanne Clary.
Guests will enjoy botanical cocktails and a tour of the blue and white blooms of our gardens at 11:30am followed by lunch and lecture at 12 Noon. Booksigning at 1:30pm. Catering provided by Scarborough Fair Catering.

GENEVIEVE WHEELER BROWN
Founding Genevieve Wheeler Decorative Art Advisory in 2003, Genevieve comes to the advisory business with more than 12 years of experience in the auction world, strong generalist knowledge and a wide range of contacts in American, European and Asian decorative and fine arts.
Genevieve began her career with Christie’s in 1992 with the European Decorative Arts Department after working as an intern at The Phillips Collection, Washington D.C. in 1990. She was then asked to run Overseas Consignments at Christie’s Park Avenue, a department that handled inquiries for European based auctions including Indian and Southeast Asian art, Islamic Art, Miniatures, Textiles and Cameras. In 1995 Genevieve became the New York contact for sales of Fabergé and Russian Silver at Christie’s Park Avenue and most recently was as a specialist in Fine Musical Instruments at Christie’s Rockefeller Center from 1998 to 2003.
While at Christie’s, she was involved with important sales such as ‘The Pine Cone Egg’ by Carl Fabergé and ‘The Taft’ Stradivari which fetched the auction record for an instrument sold in the United States. She has also been an appraiser on the PBS production ‘The Antiques Roadshow’.
A supporter of several fine and decorative art related institutions, Genevieve has served on the Board of the National Society of Colonial Dames in the State of New York, served as a member of the Young Fellows Steering Committee of the Frick Collection from 1995 to 2005 and co-Chaired the Winter Antiques Show Young Collector’s Night, New York in 2004, 2005, and 2006.
Genevieve currently advises several organizations including <a href="https://www.dumbartonhouse.org/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Dumbarton House</a>, a Federal period house museum in Georgetown, as a board member as well as for <a href="https://www.thewintershow.org/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">The Winter Show</a> as a vice-chair of Opening Night and as co-founder of The Winter Show Luncheon.About The Jay Heritage Center
The nonprofit Jay Heritage Center (JHC) is dedicated to preserving, protecting, and revitalizing a place that has meaning for all Americans: The Jay Estate.
