Dear Friends of Connecticut History Day,
Only a few weeks remain in 2018- consider supporting Connecticut History Day in your end of the year giving!
You know the positive impact that Connecticut History Day (CHD) has on students; they learn so much more than history! They gain research and analytical skills, learn how to tell compelling stories, and build confidence in both their academic and social abilities. CHD engages more than five thousand middle and high school students and teachers annually. Every year we hear stories about History Day projects that emerge from student curiosity about cause and effect and others that encourage students to participate more fully in civic life.

Individual donations are vital to the continued success of CHD. Your donation allows us to support teachers and students through free workshops, provide free curriculum materials to educators, support six regional contests and one state contest, and provide scholarships for students to participate in all levels of competition (including the National Contest). This year, we have already served over 2,100 students and 300 teachers through free workshops and provided curriculum materials to hundreds of Connecticut teachers.
Our staff is already busy planning for the spring contest season. The dedicated staff manages the program, maintains its high quality, and provides individualized attention to participating teachers and students. While grants cover some of the costs, they do not fully fund the program. We need your help to be able to continue to provide CHD for Connecticut’s students.
